Wendy is growing up and has gone missing.
The Boy who won't grow up has flown her to an island where stories are lived, shadows are lost, and where to die would be an awfully big adventure
This is not a bedtime story.
This is the Neverland.
CUCO will be performing an entrancing original score of incidental music by prize-winning Cambridge composer Peter Facer for this production of J.M Barrie's infamous stage play. The classic tale is retold in terms of growing up and not growing up, wanting and learning, loving and forgetting, within the shadowey realms of Never Never Land. Tickets are on sale now and can be booked at www.adctheeatere.com or by visiting www.peterpan2008.co.uk.
PETER PAN is an intoxicating adventure for children, grown-ups and anyone in-between.

The Malinke Medley
Directed by Max Baillie, this unique concert is a meeting of the West African kora (27 stringed harp) and the strings of CUCO. A dialogue between two musical traditions that date back centuries, the performance features Gambian kora master Surahata Susso. Sura comes from the West African Malinke tradition of music as handed down through a distinct family lineage since the 14th century, when West Africa was united by the great Malian king Sundiata. Multi-instrumentalists, story-tellers, praise poets and oral historians, these griots, as they are known, form a musical caste that still plays an active social role, and whose entrancing and powerful music is spreading across the world in the 21st century. Here alongside works by Bach, Merula, Pachelbel and more, are presented classical Malinke pieces, including melodic transcriptions of drumming rhythms played by the orchestra with Sura as soloist. Entwining the two genres, these original arrangements by Max Baillie aim to bring out common elements so that as well as being presented with new music, the listener also hears the familiar with refreshed ears.
